Ellen Callamari, AAA

Founder and president of Callamari Fine Art, Ellen offers an array of professional advisory services.  Her clients include art collectors looking to enhance sophisticated, secondary market collections as well as individuals new to collecting.  Her knowledge of both blue chip market trends and young, emerging artists is the basis for the bespoke services she provides to clients.  Before launching Callamari Fine Art in 2000, Ellen held senior positions at major New York galleries including Mary Boone Gallery and Andrea Rosen Gallery.

Ellen received a B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.A. from the City University of New York, both in art history.  She is a graduate of the NYU Appraisal Studies Program and complies to Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of The Appraisal Foundation, Inc., in Washington, DC.

In 2012, Ellen was elected to ArtTable, a national non-profit membership organization for professional women in leadership positions in the visual arts, and in 2016 was elected to the Association of Women Art Dealers, an organization focused on collaboration between professional, women art consultants, gallerists and dealers. Ellen is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier national association of personal property appraisers.
